 So today in this post we are going to dive in the swimming pool of technology and list out the most selling brands of mobiles from 10 to 1....

So lets begin....

10. Motorola

Motorola has been upcoming brand in smartphone industry in India. Now it has reached upto the 10th position in India's smartphone market. Motorola started in Chicago, Illinois, as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation in 1928 by two brothers, Paul V. and Joseph E. Galvin


9. OPPO

At No. 9 is another Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo. The company grew by as much as 602% year-on-year during the quarter. The company's shipments touched 3.3 million, up from 0.5 million in the previous quarter. The company's F1 Plus is reported to be the star performer during the quarter. It is also working on its flagship phones in India. Also it has got its new offices built in India along with thousands of posters all around the country.

8.LAVA

During the second quarter too Lava failed to get back its SEVENTH position from Reliance Jio. Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio had grown sharply to replace Lava as the -largest smartphone vendor with huge shipments of 4G devices in the first quarter of 2016. The company is now facing increased pressure from Chinese vendors.

During the quarter the company's year-on-year growth fell by almost 29%.

7. JIO/LYF

One of the newest player in the market, Reliance Jio maintained its position as the seventh largest smartphone vendor. The company grew 12.3% sequentially in Q2 2016. The entry of LYF devices in the sub-Rs 4,000 segment and bundling introductory offers with Jio services helped it gain strong traction at retail stores.

 6. INTEX

The company slipped to sixth position during the quarter as its shipments dropped 9.8% sequentially and 30.1% over the previous year. Other than the internal management changes, the company is also facing stiff competition from other Indian vendors in entry-level and Chinese vendors at mid-level.
However, during the second quarter the company's cloud series helped it gain a significant share in the online segment.
 

5. LENOVO

 At No.5 in Indian smartphone market is Lenovo. Lenovo Group  with 10.3% growth over the last quarter, vendor regained its fifth position during the quarter.Vibe K5 Plus was the key driver for the growth, accounting for over one-third of its total shipments.

Lenovo Group has extended its presence in the retail contributing to approximately one-third of the shipments.

4. MICROMAX

At No. 4 position in the Indian smartphone market is Micromax. The company retained second position with 19.9% growth over the previous quarter. Slew of new launches backed by the new marketing initiatives helped Micromax gain the market share post two consecutive declines in Q2 2016. Vendor has re-gained share in $150-$200 segment with launch of Canvas 6 series and Yu Yunicorn.

3. XIAOMI

 At No. 3 is Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi. The company grew sold 4 million units during the quarter vis-a-vis the 3.5 million in the previous quarter. The company's year-on-year growth stands at 21.60%. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 was among the best selling models. It is reported to be the star product for the vendor, contributing majority of its total shipments in Q2 of 2016.

2. SAMSUNG

The name is enough.... Samsung continued to lead the Indian smartphone market with 25.1% share, registering 10.9% sequential growth over previous quarter and 15% growth from the same period last year. With updated versions of J2, J5 and J7 released in Q2 2016, J-series devices continue to drive Samsung’s shipments.

1. Chinese market???!!!

Indians being so much in support of quality remain behind in the market of smartphones. After two consecutive quarters of negative growth the Indian smartphone market saw shipments rise by 17% sequentially in the April-June quarter, according to research firm IDC. The research firm attributes the growth to aggressive device launches and updates from Samsung and Micromax.

You saw that still Chinese companies are ruling the smartphone industry of India. Also 'Samsung' the south korean brand rules 2nd. So Indian companies like lava and micromax, please give us good things!! We all know that Xiaomi and samsung provide better features so you too work on it!!!
